I was looking for cheaper end hotels or hostels for my visit and stayed in some pretty lousy places. When I arrived at the Swiss Chocolate, I was shocked to find a clean room, a beautiful bathroom, a kettle, fridge, iron and many other perks. I was even able to leave my suitcase in a locked space as I toured the city.

The hotel is clean, modern and the room was very comfortable and larger than we expected. Great bathroom too. We stayed in a Quad room and whilst it was located downstairs from the reception area and the view was into an interior courtyard we still really liked the room and the skylight was a nice addition for extra light. We didn’t have breakfast at the property as it seemed quite expensive for the 4 of us, however the hotels amazing location meant we could grab a breakfast at the Coop restaurant 2 mins away on foot. The hotel is also located in between 2 metro stations so it’s very easy to get to. And our kids loved the small chocolate fountain in reception!!

great hotel. loved the funky decor. great vibe. hadnt expected a balcony so because I was on the 8th floor the views of the lake and mountains were fantastic. very friendly staff. chocolate fountain in reception which was a nice touch . free metro travel. great location near the cathedral and easy to get pretty much anywhere in Lausanne. bars and shops nearby.

The room was fine, the location was nice - about a 30 25 minute walk to Lausanne ouchy - you get free travel on the buses and metro - you can get the metro station OURS just above the hotel and take it to Lausanne Olympique. You can also get the metro Lousanne-Gare for the train station. We arrived at 1am and had to go to the Swiss Wine hotel to get a keycard - reception closes at 10:30pm

Nice area with many small nice restaurants close by. Metro station about 100 m away, which is good as Lausanne elevates up from the lake. The hotel is a cosy boutique hotel, and you are welcomed with a chocolate fountain in the small lobby, which also serves as an area for the nice breakfast buffet. Nice and cozy rooms. Good with ticket to bus/metro when you check in.

One of the most charming hotels we have ever stayed at. The area is tranquil, no noise. The design is based on chocolate and they even have a chocolate fountain in the receptcion, my daughters loved it (and the parent too!). The staff were really nice. There is a supermarket, shops and restaurants around the hotel and it is near the old town.

It was close to the metro station Ours, which was good if coming by train from le gare or boat from Ouchy. It was also close to some good restaurants. It had coffee and tea making facilities in the room. It had a reasonably priced breakfast. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room facilities were modern and clean. All in all an excellent experience. I wish all hotels had this high standard.
